tears

notice the url of this blog...specifically...notice the second word...wimp...so i know all about tears and those bloody tear glands which have emotions of their own...there's a bright side though: They only operate when in contact with certain people and certain instances...but then lets not waver from the main topic...we are talking about tears and crying...
What is so wrong with crying? Maybe i'm being partial...i cry so i think it's ok...but you're wrong there, i hate crying...i feel weird when i do...outa control kinds...you must be thinking why i'm going on and on about it...simple...cuz i cry too much. i cry everywhere: restaurants, sharma, udipi, weddings(not for the dulhan...i might have if i knew who she was), home steps, college steps,...i'm sure you get the rather watery picture...so i have a right to obsess don't you think?
why do i feel crying is wrong? is it a societal or a personal pressure to hate crying? what exactly is crying anyways?
The last question is the easiest...there is a biological understanding of crying...actually tears.
A tear is a salty, protein-rich fluid emanating from my lacrimal apparatus. To make it cryin, add to it improvised adjustments in the muscles of facial expression, a few non-specific and incomprehensible vocalisations, and convulsively inhaling and exhaling air with spasms of the respiratory and truncal muscle groups. That, scienifically and technically speaking is Crying...oof..i didnt know it was so complicated especially when i seem to do it without any effort at all.
There is this article i found which mentions the following statistic generated from a study(dont ask me the reliability or the methodology for the study...i dont know and i dont care): women cry 64 times a year, on average, and men 17.
Two points come to my mind when i look at this:
1) I cry two times a day which makes it like approx 730 times a yr which is way way wayyyy above the average...question: Is there somethig wrong with me? Conclusion: There is definitely somehing wrong with me!!!
2) Boys don't cry...thats a movie which starred a girl (Hilary Swank to be precise) as a boy who didnt cry...but do boys actually not cry...i can give u loadsa shit about buys being emotional and crying more than women but whats the use...truth is you cant generalise...most men i know dont cry too much...they just get MAD!!!
